Privacy Policy

LessonDecode is a K–12 educational technology service. Schools and districts use it to provide instruction, homework, and practice tools. Student information is handled on behalf of the school and is not sold or used for advertising.

We do not use student content to train third-party AI models. We use student information only to provide and support the educational service requested by the school.

Radiqo operates as a school official under 34 CFR § 99.31(a)(1) when a participating district designates us to perform an institutional service. The district controls its education records, and Radiqo processes those records under the district’s instructions and applicable agreement.

Depending on the school’s configuration, LessonDecode may process:

• Name, display name, school identifier, email address, grade band, role, and class enrollment.
• Assignments, lesson progress, homework, flashcard results, Q&A text, and spoken-answer transcripts.
• Service activity such as sign-in time, lesson duration, completion, and diagnostic events.
• Instructor-uploaded lesson materials and, only with explicit authorization, instructor voice recordings used for an optional voice clone.

We do not request a student’s home address, birth date, Social Security number, or precise location as part of the LessonDecode learner experience.

• Deliver lessons, assignments, practice, and question-and-answer features.
• Show authorized students, guardians, educators, and administrators progress and results.
• Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service using appropriately scoped data.
• Meet contractual and legal obligations.

We do not sell student information and do not share it with advertising networks.

Information may be shared with the school or district that controls the education record, with authorized guardians or eligible students, and with contracted service providers that help host and operate LessonDecode. Those providers are limited by contract and may use the information only to provide their service to us.

AI and voice providers receive only the content needed to perform the requested operation. LessonDecode is designed to remove direct identifiers before content is sent where the operation does not require them.

Student information is retained only as long as required for the educational purpose, district contract, applicable retention schedule, or legal obligation. The applicable school or district may impose additional record-retention requirements.

LessonDecode uses encryption in transit and at rest, organization-scoped access controls, revocable sessions, and audit logging. No online service can guarantee absolute security; we maintain incident-response procedures for suspected or confirmed incidents.

Parents and eligible students may ask to inspect or correct education records through their school. Requests to delete a student record are also coordinated with the school because the school controls the record and may have legal retention duties. Guardian users may request deletion of their own guardian account.

Where LessonDecode is used by children under 13, Radiqo relies on the participating school’s authorization to provide the educational service. We do not use student information for behavioral advertising and do not display advertising in LessonDecode.

Material changes will be communicated to participating schools before taking effect so they can provide any notice required by their policies or applicable law.
